Did you ever hear some on say there's no I in team (but there is one in win). If you put a line under the T (I) there will be an I in team.

Cold fun!!!

On Halloween my best friend teaches me how to ice skate. The moment my feet touches the ice it was weird but I didn't fall it was a weird felling of control. I felt like it was so easy to push my self across the ice. I couldn't do trick and spins and even move like the others there but it was magic on the ice. At first I stayed on the edge holding on to the side as gentle as I can (I was kind of nervous). But my friend held my hands like she was teaching me to walk and slowly moved backward pulling me on to the ice with nothing around me but her! She can skate very well but she doesn't skate backwards. She showed me how to move my feet correctly. But I thought it will be easy and funny if I just stayed in one spot dancing to the oldies music that was on. I quickly pulled my phone out of my pocket and video taped her spinning and skating and she did the the same for me. When we were done showing our moves we were pushing each other across the ice. then we both fell and me not noticing the video was still on and you can her us screaming and our voices echoing through the rink. We had a race to see who can get up first and I won most of them!! Ice skating is soooo much fun it is a great thing to do with family and friends

Gym

I love gym but I hate to run the mile. I have to run my track 4 times under 16 minutes or else you fail the test and have to do it again. My time is 11 minutes and 30 seconds. I am so tired then I have to go get changed then run up to the third floor and find my class and the older kids walk like they are babies walking for the first time.So me and my friend take forever going up the stairs and then the bell rings I am thirsty and refuse to drink from a water fountain and I want to go home because I am hungry. But other if we don't run the mile then I am fine with the older kids walking slow and I am not tired . I just blame it on the mile run :-(

Middle school

So I started middle school and it is better than I thought it would be. But not everything is great , on the first day of school sitting on the bus next to my friends we looked at our papers and compared them. I have not one class with either of them and to make it worse they have almost every class together. I had a knot in my stomach how angry I was but I had to deal with it. I take my steps off the bus and I was officially on my own. I felt like a bird being kicked out of a nest like I was all alone but that is apart of growing up and going to a new school. I am in the building and I get this weird feeling but it was a feeling that made me want to go up stairs (I have more than one floor now :-) and start a great fresh new SCHOOL YEAR. Finally I am in my homeroom with a nice looking teacher I was so happy she did not look mean but she is very nice. She gives us papers that ask us about our self and papers for my parents to sign. My pen pal's best friend is in my homeroom so I was so happy to see her. Later I go to science and see some other kids I know.I was never so happy to see kids I did not even talk to in the fifth grade. Next was math and that is a cool subject because they use smart boards so I love it in there. Next I go down to the second floor and go to my family and consumer science class (they teach us how to cook ,clean, sew and write checks) I like that teacher I think she is SO cool. Next gym, YAY!!!!!!! They just told us the rules what we need how they grad us and all of that. Next was English and it was on the third floor (PS gym is on the first) my English teacher looks nice and sweet and I know this will be a good year. Right next door is social studies and she is also my homeroom teacher so that is no problem. Finally it is lunch!!!. During lunch after you eat you have a choice to go to watch a movie in the auditorium. Next was computers and that is a pretty fun class. Finally it is reading and my brother had this teacher she is so sweet and nice and calm and I know I will like her. So after this is done I rush down to the first floor and go home with my friends. There is nonstop talking about "I love my S.S teacher and my Math teacher is so funny and the story goes on and on, but I could not wait to tell my mom everything.

Summer Summer Summer Time!!!

Finally school is over! We had a bunch of fun on the last day like more yearbook signing, games and more more fun. I was sad when I saw my friends crying because we will never come back to this school and we were never going to have our teachers again. I had to cheer them up of course but I reminded them that we will see each other again at partys and in middle that didn't help much but they felt a little better. I am having a fun summer my last elementary summer. Well there is a lot to be happy about except for the king of pop passing away. RIP Micheal Jackson we will miss you

Middle School and College

About 3 weeks ago all I would hear is my prom dress this and my prom dress that. It is pink, it is blue, it is red and it will get on my nerves. Until I found out instead of me having a prom (Because I am eleven) I am going to have a dance. It is a black and white dance. We had black and white balloons, plates even cake and cookies. I went to the dance on Monday June 15,2009. It was fun and I was filled with soda and skittles. I took a picture with me and my daddy and it is very pretty. Everyday we practice for Graduation with our songs speeches and poems and we get a diploma. Yesterday we got our yearbook. My two older cousins get this stuff two since they are graduating from High School. They graduate on Saturday I graduate on Tuesday. I have to go into a room while my family watch a video in the High School Auditorium on a big screen ( we go there for every thing since it is so big and the high school and elementary school are right next to each other) This video is every picture we took this year like at our field trips and ect. I get one for fifteen dollars. I hear alot of conversations with my cousins about there colleges and other stuff like graduating now that I am, I can talk about me going to middle school. Yay me!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's Party

a few weeks ago I went to my fifth grade picnic. First when we went in we saw cookies and a bunch of other junk food. We danced to the cha cha slide and then the Hoedown throwdown. We listened to some High School Musical songs. Some kids played soccer, some played chess, made arts and craft had hula hoop contest and tug a war. The strongest kids were on the other team and we wanted to give up be cause we knew we will loose but we won. Our name was "The Grand Spankin Divas" the boys did not like the name that much but we did not care. Then we went against another team we won again. Finally we were one of the top two classes and we were scared. We lost the last game so we came in second. The floor was so slippery from the days of rain that caused mud to be on our shoes. Then we played over under. We ate hot dogs and hamburgers. Then we danced to songs like Crank that Soulja boy, Let it rock, Just Dance, Boom boom pow (this was the song that every one had to sing at lease one line of the song on the microphone)I know you want me, Yeah by usher, ludacris and lil john, single ladies , please don't stop the music we even danced to the hokey pokey and sooooo much more. Later we got popcorn from those popcorn machines, Cup cakes and cotton candy with Italian ice!!! We took pictures and made videos. They might play it for the parents on the night of Graduation. I am so excited and happy.

Atlantis Marine World

My Field trip to Atlantis Marine world was so cool!!!!! First when I went there we went on this boat and learned a few things. Later we went to see monkeys and otters.The monkey was scared of me because every where it turned I was staring at it. I saw a penguin but they were from Africa they did not need the cold. I saw a Shark and they look like they want to eat you because the go by so slow and just stare. I saw an alligator or crocodile I can't tell the difference. I saw an octopus and I went on a ride. While me and my friends wait on line we saw some older kids the first thing the boys do is go up to them and say some mean things in a joking way and say they can beat them up. Immediately I rush over and tell the older kids they were kidding and my friends are crazy. All he says is "Don't mess with us we're from Queens." So I shrug because I'm from Brooklyn. Then he says I'm gonna beat up these little fifth graders except for the girls because we didn't do any thing. Then the ride was done for the kids ahead of us. Then the older kids went on and we went on after them. The ride was not scary it was just rocking back and forth and up and down. This was a submarine ride. Then we went to see the sea lion show and the sea lions were so cute and cool. She danced and she jumped high she clapped and waved and balance things on her nose. Right before I left I touched a few stingrays. They are so soft and smooth. They were swimming around so everyone can touch them. I forgot the best part some kids got to kiss some fishy this and it was alive it was so funny and cool. This is the best field trip ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poker Face

Yesterday My cousin came over and we were playing card games like spit and even some poker.The first games I was winning but not by much I had like 2 eights or 2 nines but at the end of the game I was going great. I decided to keep track of my scores. I had 3 kings 1 queen and 1 three. My older cousin had no good card but he did not fold he started to say, "Oh man, I can't lose with these cards. Man, you and your brother better fold" But I had three kings I can't fold with that. Under presser my brother folds and he had two 10's. At the end I beat them both because my cousin was bluffing !! Round 2 I get another 3 KINGS 1 TWO & 1 SIX. I win again then I get 3 eights 1 two and 1 four. I lost but I won alot. So over the weekend I might go to my cousins house and play some real poker. WE ARE BETTING COOKIES SINCE I AM BROKE!!!!

Field trip to the Sea

On Wednesday I went on a field trip and I went on a boat. We were learning about plankton. First we had to catch it then put it under a microscope. We got comb jellyfish. They are small so you can hold them and they can not sting you.I held one and it was soft and it made me feel weird holding a jellyfish. Me and my friend caught 3 of them.Later we went on top of the boat and learned how to work the boat . I am not an expert (yet). Later I got to hold a crab it was so cool. My favorite part is when the boat started rocking alot. No one got sick (thank goodness). I had so much fun I would like to go again when I am in middle school. On May 20, 2009 I am going to the middle school so I can be comfortable there. We are going to ask our future principal some questions. I can't wait to get all my classes. One year you are the oldest now you are the youngest. This is scary but I'll be brave!!! (Not!!!!! I gonna cry like a baby I don't think I am ready for middle school. I 'll just hide behind my brother all day.)

Annie

Today in my future school (the middle school) We went to go see a play "Annie" just like the movie. I can't get the song "Tomorrow" out of my head. The middle school actors and actresses were great and so was their singing and dancing. I found out everyone who auditions gets a part!! I enjoyed the whole show but my favorite part was when they went to the movies because it got really dark and they came out with flash lights.
I also met my principal for next year. I had so much fun. I saw my pen pal because my school is not the only school going to that middle school next year. I had so much fun and I give the movie 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plane Pain

For vacation I went to Georgia!!! I was so excited because we were staying for 8 days!!! But here is the bad part, the air line lost my clothes and they are not giving me enough money to buy my clothes back. My whole vacation I had no clothes. But I did have fun. We had a BBQ and me Breiana (my cousin) and Tj (my brother) would go down the street really fast and it was so much fun. The last day I stayed with my Aunt Iris (she gave me this blog for Christmas) and we watched alot of movies. On the plane was the worst again!!! This lady sitting next to me with the baby had to change him. Instead of going to the bathroom she sat right next to me and changed him. I looked the other way of course but the worst part is she put the diaper right in between us. I was so angry and I was scooting on the other side. Later she moves it and throws it out. The plane was so horrible. Now I have 3 pairs of shoes and half as much clothes than before. I was so sad. Later on I find out one of my cousins pass away so I write a poem for her.

Holding On

Time goes by, People move on, Things may change but I'm still holding on.

I'll fly away with dreams knowing your always beside me. Tryin to stay strong but I'm still holding on , to the memories we share I can't go on with out you there I know that your gone but in my heart is wear you belong. The tears I shed in the pillow on the bed does not show half of the way I feel. I wish I could be there for you more when you were here so love the one you love before that one may disappear.You are what keep me standing and going on. So I'll never let go and just hold on.

All the Wonderful things of SPRING

Many wonderful things of Spring. Birds come back from south and sing.Flowers blossom in the moist calm air. Leaves come back to make the world so fair. Ravishing green pastures all around. Listen close the wind makes no sound. Spring shopping, everything is so cute, say goodbye to thick winter boots. The best season of all. Is it spring, summer, winter or fall.

Circus

On Friday two fifth grade classes performed for two kindergarten class. First kids with ribbons went and they did a great dance for them. Next was acrobats( I was in it).We did a roll and then we had kids do dives into a hula hoop and end up with a roll. Next two kids did hand stands, and the other kids were on the shoulders of each other and they held hands. We had kids on stilts, they did hula hoop tricks, spinning plates, Chinese yo yo, moon hoppers, devil sticks, juggling, pogo sticks and more. It was a lot of fun the little kids liked it alot. Everyone was so happy and excited. That was the best day ever!!! (In a few years those kids will perform for other kindergartners) :D

The Forest

I hear the rustling of the trees I hear the birds I feel the breeze. The bonding animals with no hate. The lazy bears that hibernate. The birds fly solo out of the nest they spread there wings and pass the test. The hopping bunnies are so funny when they hop all day so you better catch them before they get away. The forest is so quiet and calm until the lion sings his song. He makes a plot to take over the land until we make a better plan. His roar is so loud it awakens the bears and looks at me with a creepy stare. I was not harmed so I am relieved but he does not know what's up my sleeve. We play some tricks the wouldn't play. I know he won't come back this way. I think thing went back to the way it begun. The war is over and we won. No more lion no more fight because here in the forest every thing is alright.

Another Field Trip (1777)

Yesterday, March 6,2009 I had a field trip to go see 1777. Two of the actors from the last play (A Christmas Carol) were in it. This was a different play in a different place it was strange to see them. This was a musical. I almost for got the best part! The day before we all got a shirt with everyone in my grade's name on it. We had to wear it for the field trip! Every girl in the fifth grade held up there shirt because it was to big,even if it fit them they did that because they thought it was cute.We had to order a bigger size because it may shrink in the wash. After the play we went out to eat. I thought it will be some where we never knew about but it was around Friday's and the mall and I go there alot. We went to Bolder creek steakhouse. The food was great but there was a little bit of food on the plate. I thought they did that because we get desert. Finally the desert came and they gave a spoons but they were a little big. The ice cream was about as big as my little sharpener. The spoon was bigger than the amount of ice cream we had!!! But the parents got brownies with whip cream and chocolate chips and some got cheese cake. I did not eat breakfast and we went to the place late (I was starving).The trip was very good. When we came back we had a short gym. In gym we are doing circus and I can walk on stilts,kind of spin plates and balance things on my hand. Some people can juggle, balance things on there face, hula hoop, do ribbons.I can do alot of things but I am best at stilts because they are fun. When I was going home I saw in my cousin's class there were pink balloons an it said it's a girl. The kids had a baby shower for there teacher. They had pink candies that said it's a girl (It looked very good). The best part is that they surprised her.Hope you like my blog!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mirror, Mirror on The Wall Is He Really That Ugly

Like always my brother and I will look in the mirror and see who the cuter child is (It me 100%).But my brother does not see that. He would say move before you break the mirror and I would laugh and say o.k. So I was spinning on my chair and then heard somthing but I was not sure what it was. I rush in to the bathroom and there was no mirror (well it was on the floor in pieces). I started to giggle and my brother says shut up, but he was laughing too. He broke the mirror and he was the ugle one.( Even through I knew his looks did not do that it is so funny everytime I tell him the story because he get so mad and we both end up laughing.)

Lights, Camera, City!

On Saturday my dad took me out to the city. It was beautiful I saw a lady that acted like the Statue of Liberty and I saw alot of people. I love the tall buildings the light and the people. when I went pass a river the lights reflected in it and it was beautiful. Next time I go I'll take pictures.

LeT It SnOw!!!!

It was Sunday afternoon and I was watching the news to see if i had to go to school. Finally my school was called (I was lucky I have a big state test on Monday and I am so nervous,one day off will help me so much). So on Sunday I stayed up until 12:30 and then finally fell asleep. In the middle of my wonderful dream my brother comes in the room and wakes me up. Then I realized he wanted to show me that half of my window is filled with snow. I think we were going to have 14 inches. I am so excited to go out side so my mom gives me a lot of clothes (long socks, tights, 2 sweat pants, a t-shirt a turtle neck, a sweater, a jacket and a coat. She was scared that I will get cold). Then my cousin comes over and says come out side. The snow was around his knees. I thought the snow was normal but when I walked out my feet were frozen. Later we climbed trees, had snowball fights, and took pictures. I came back in the house with my pants filled with snow and my jacket had a lot of ice. So now all I have to do is defrost. (I am doing that right now)

How Overprotective are You?

Like every other school day I walk to the bus stop with my cousin and wait for the bus to come. I talk to all of my friends and I wait for everyone else to come. It was strange when I saw a new kid come, so like every other kid I show him the bus stop and tell him about school. His grandmother came to the bus stop with him and said, ''Is this the bus stop" we all said yes. She was so angry and said, "Do you know it is against the law for kids to cross the street to go to the bus stop?'' Before we can answer the bus came. We quickly go on the bus and find a seat but the bus driver did not drive. I looked out the window and saw the grand mother talking to the bus driver about the law. When we got to school guess who was there. The little kid's grand mother! She said if he gets hit can you help him out and make sure his friends defend him and help him out. I am in the fifth grade, he is about my height and in the third grade (I am not short) I am sure he can tell if he is hurt or defend him self. Day two, our stop is changed and now we are on the bus a little longer. When we were walking to the stop I saw the kid standing near a pole when every one else is at the new stop. Everyone felt bad for him so he comes to stand near us. In three seconds his grandmother came running dressed in those dress things that people sleep in. It was a very windy day so she had to hold her dress. She shouted,''You have to stand where I see you.What is someone hits you or trys to take you, you hold on to the pole!!" The poor kid had to stand there with everyone staring at him. I feel bad for him. My mom says I should watch him in school so the grandmother won't make that kids life horrible. But everyone in school talks about him and he needs a friend. thanks for reading

Keep Your Mouth Shut

When I was sitting on my mom's lap I saw that if I turn my head to the side her mouth looked like a heart. So I look at my dad and his mouth looks like a heart too. So I thought this was cool and looked at every mouth I can find (I know it is so crazy but it is cool, maybe you can look at someones mouth but on the side not the front). Everybody's mouth looks like a heart so if you keep your mouth shut there will be no broken hearts. :D

Happy Birthday to Me

2 Days ago was my birthday and I got alot of money. My friends took me too the movies and right in the middle of it the screen goes blank. I was surprised but I thought it was cool ( except for the fact that I missed what happened). Some guy who works there came to see if everyone was o.k. Some other guy shouted '' We should get free popcorn!!" but we never got that free popcorn. Later when I come home my mom and godmother took me to Apple bees and they sang a song for me. My birthday was a very busy and I had a lot of fun!!!!!

Do You Have Talent

Yesterday was the talent show and my friends and I were act one. We were dancing in front of many people and they liked it. My friend made up the dance and it was good. I was very scared when I went on stage and I could not mess up I had to impress the crowd. My family friends and two of my teachers were there. There was a guy doing stand up comedy and he was very funny. At the end all cast and crew got to dance together. They told us they had a surprise and they dropped balloons. We all got shirts and they told us that we can order the DVD the talent show was great. This is the last one we have because we are all going to the sixth grade next year.

You Can Run But You Can't Hide

Today after coming from my friends house to practice for the talent show, some kids through ice at our car ,but it was frozen snow. My mom was so surprised, she stopped the car and when she did the kids ran off. I knew one of the kids so that run did not help them much. So my mom parks the car and is so angry. She walks back so she can go talk to them and see what they will do. As we came closer the kids started to run until she shouted ''I CALLED THE COPS!!!'' They all froze and there eye were about as big as a tennis ball. I was in the back of my mom trying to keep a straight face because she did not call the cops and she won't... this time. One of them said he was sorry but she says it is too late and say it to the cops. As we walk home we were cracking up. I asked her why she said that because the police is not coming. She said they will learn not to do it again and someone might call the police. Right know it is 9:53 and I am sure they know they can rest with out knowing the police is at the door. :D

Oh the Cold Winter Night

In the winter it snows the stars have a glow, oh the cold winter night. Cold winter trees the sweet winter breeze, oh the cold winter night. The bears are asleep jumping bunny feet ,oh the cold winter night. The moon is so bright it sparkles alright, oh the cold winter night. Cough and sneeze it's the winter disease when it's a cold winter night.

I Can Only Be Me

Taking a walk down memory lane. Every mistake seems to be the same. You want to run but you can't move. You're going to win but you're going to lose. Now you're lost and there is no right way. If you only listen to what they say. You're not you and you won't be. So let the world know that I can only be me.

If the world was upside down

I wonder If the world was upside down. Would we walk on clouds or look up to the ground. Could we swim in the sky and watch the birds walk by. Could they play with me in the great blue sky sea. When the sun is now shy and the moon is sayin hi you no there is no time to play. So pack up your toys, that fill you with joy and hope for a shining new day.
